The bar, known as Sullivan's bar, is so named due to the close proximity of Norton Park to Coleton Fishacre the one time home of the D'Oyly Carte family, who first staged the operettas written by Sir Arthur Sullivan and W. S. Gilbert at the Savoy Theatre.
